A dead tree with a gloomy background. Nothing too fancy.

I have passed by this tree many, many times over the past twenty or so years. It hasn't changed much. But I can't resist taking a shot of it every time I go past. There are several pics of it on my stream but one more can't hurt, right?

On my daily short exercise walk I am noticing beautiful trees. This is Bell's Paddock.

We saw this tree yesterday at the cemetery.

Gestern auf dem Friedhof.

large trees in the park are given a coat of white at the base, which blends with the tree's secretions and takes on different hues.

Just saw this bird in this tree and i liked the tones and the tortued tree look.

This has to be roughly 7 ft in diameter it's a petrified redwood tree that's an Florissant Colorado Protective area.

A lone tree in a field made for a nice subject at sunrise.

There was also some light mist in the background to add to the scene.

These trees were silhouetted by a golden sunrise at Sandhill Crane Access Park in western Palm Beach County, Florida.

Just walkin' through the forest and who did I see standin' on a fallen tree alookin' at me? A She-goat! Love her eyes.

tree of life on inside cover of a book of poems by robert desnos,

pen, ink, gouache by de burca,

Taken yesterday in Macclesfield Forest. As we got to higher ground, the recent storm damage became obvious, alongside some planting that the rangers have done. It was a bright day, but for a while the sky became darker and quite dramatic --- luckily it didn't rain!

the white and pastel appearance of the tree and ground are caused by a thick rime (hoarfrost coating) makes it look a bit like an Infra Red ir photo

I just like this scene when I seen this.

Traditionally, whenever there's a family gathering, I tend to take an hour or so to wander around the neighbourhoods and drive around aimlessly, hoping to find a photo or two. This year's All Saints' Day was no different.

“I Dream of Being a Tree is composed of twenty woven and printed panels. The work illustrates my relationships with trees and with dear friends, whom I asked to write short texts, or sometimes poems … I made a dream some true by portraying these relationships between these people and these trees in a monumental work. I Dream of Being a Tree is my hymn to life.”

Through the trees i see the light

The distant beauty of blue and white

Shining down into my looking eyes

From the vast, wide, infinite skies

Beyond the trees, where the light

Is coloured blue and the purest white
